For days Craig had been racing. Pedaling up and down the hills and valleys that came between him and his goal. He had been working through the pain, finding his limits and pushing them. Despite his effort, he had only been able to maintain second place, sometimes dropping back to third or fourth, never quite able to pass the leader. Lance, his nemesis was just too good. But now it was coming down to the final stretch. Craig thrived on the pressure. It fueled him. He could see Lance in the distance, complacent in his position. In one last daring and amazing push for the finish, Craig overtook him, winning the Tour for his first time.
